Nyah Fearties 1992
Name changed back to Nyah Fearties! Everybody always referred to the band as the “Fearties” anyway, so it seemed pointless to keep using "The Collaborators". Michael Wood became a permanent member playing fiddle, squeeze box and whistle. Later in the year Alastair Mackay joined on slide guitar and bazouki and went on tour to France in place of Allan who was on a final written warning from his work! By August Allan left his work and became a full time student; a move which gave him more time to skive off with the Fearties. Davy and Stephen won first prize at the Derry Busking Competition. The Red Kola EP was released on cassette. Gigs in Ireland, Wales, Holland France and around the UK.

The Fearties met graphic design legend Jamie Reid through Welsh band Anhrefn who he had designed an album cover for.
He found an advertising coupon in his Fag packet which showed Kilmarnock as part of a roadmap and remembering that the Fearties came from Kilmarnock he incorporated it into a poster for a St Andrew’s Day gig with TV Smith, Anhfefn and Nyah Fearties… it’s maybe not his finest work but how many bands from Lugton and Killie have had a Jamie Reid poster?!?

Started making small A6 photocopied booklets with hand printed colour covers with linocut illustrations by Allan Feartie. The top version here is a bit of a piss take!!!
